Kstar secures UPS centralized procurement from three telecom giants
KSTAR News, 2022.1.26
Kstar, a leading global UPS manufacturer, announced that it had won the bids for the centralized procurement of high-power UPS products by China's three largest telecom operators, China Mobile, China Telecom and China Unicom, for the 2021–2023 period.

After winning the bids for China Unicom's and China Telecom's centralized procurement of high-capacity UPS systems for 2021, Kstar also won China Mobile's centralized procurement project for high-frequency UPS systems for 2021–2023. The project included Section 2 (40–120 kVA high-frequency UPS), Section 3 (200–600 kVA integrated UPS) and Section 3 (80–600 kVA modular UPS). With a budget of US$146 million, it was China Mobile's largest UPS procurement project in recent years.
As a leading domestic UPS brand with the highest sales volume in China, Kstar has been an important partner of major telecom operators for many years. These operators apply strict criteria when selecting suppliers and equipment. Kstar is one of only three brands to have won centralized procurement contracts from all three major operators.

The YDC3300 is Kstar's flagship high-frequency UPS and is widely used in three-phase power applications. It has operated reliably in many countries, including China and India. With excellent performance and an efficiency of up to 96%, it is widely used in small and medium-sized data centres and other mission-critical applications.

Kstar's HPM modular UPS is also favoured by telecom operators. It combines high reliability with flexibility. Its high-power-density design, compact footprint and redundant control system make it an ideal solution for data centres, mission-critical facilities and retail applications.
"Continuing to be selected by state-backed telecom operators is a vote of confidence in Kstar," said Mr Shen, Head of Product Development. "In the future, Kstar will continue to strengthen cooperation with China Telecom, China Mobile and China Unicom and actively invest in power management innovation to help promote a digital future."
